Breadtop + food combining

There's this bakery franchise in town that I've grown really crazy about - Breadtop. It has a similar name, color scheme and concept to SG's Breadtalk.. but I reckon most of the breads they have are different.

Above: Roomie (Elizabeth) and I getting very excited with our purchases.
I like this bread, Milk de Crunch, which has a crisp milk layer on top of its bun, and an interesting composition of milk powder, sugar and butter for its filling. After I have tasted it once I told myself that I am going to buy that bread every time I go town. Then there's their Green Tea Pancake, which is filled with green tea mousse (a variation of cream = yummy!), red bead and and green tea sponge cake. Again, something I am going to buy each time I make a trip downtown.
Sorry, no pictures of the actual purchases. I forgot to take pictures before I gobbled them up.
It occurred to me that 1.5 months down the road, I won't be able to eat these wonderful pastries anymore. It's sort of like my craving for dry wanton mee in Sydney, but at least I knew that I will be eating wanton mee again very very soon. But with the lovely Milk de Crunch and Green Tea Pancake, I have no idea when I'll eat them again once I'm back in SG. Arrrgh. I feel sad.
On a sidenote, I have developed some strange food combinations in my cooking attempts
- Pumpkin porridge - ie boil rice and cubed pumpkin together
- Watercress and pumpkin soup - Sweet, and it was both green and orange
- Grated carrot and tomato porridge - very very orange!
- Tomato sauce and cheese pressed sandwich - this actually makes great french toast!
- Walnut cream pasta
- Garlic cream spaghetti - not that strange but I cooked it on a whim
- Steamed pumpkin spread - used it for sandwiches
- Stir-fried watercress with miso
- Peanut butter + soy sauce noodles
- Pak Choy soup with wanton skin
- Shredded red cabbage with plain yogurt and tuna
- Boiled green bean powder with honey
Hmm. And after watching numerous episodes of Arashi no Shukudaikun, I'm going to try
- Cola + milk
- Avocado boiled with rice
- Cucumber with ginger ale
Interesting food combinations, anyone? I think I'm game as long as they don't contain celery or raw carrots.
