Blah blah
Come to think of it, I actually had quite a happening time during the Christmas and New Year.
21st December, 2006I went to Bondi Beach and got a sunburn.
23rd December, 2006I went to eat at Pancakes on The Rocks.
They have more than 20 varieties of pancakes. The pancakes were delish!!!! Fluffy chocolate pancakes, savory potato au gratin pancakes, crepes with beef, complete with potato wedges. Envy me envy me!!! Apparently the pancakes place is quite a well-known restaurant and tour groups actually go there to eat. And it’s open 24/7. I drool just to think of it.
24th December 2006 - Christmas Dinner
We made quite a lot of dishes with chicken and potato. And one of my friends made 3 shepard pies. And I finally tried to bake something…which was quite fun initially but it grew to be tiring once I got sick of all that butter and sugar. The funny part was we managed to make a gingerbread family with Gingerbread dad, mom, child, mistress, snowman and candycane. I ate the mistress first hahahahahaha.
31st December, 2006New Year’s eve countdown!

What is a celebration without food as prelude? Chinese food again. I keep coming across more Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. But this one certainly impressed me. The porridge was one of the best I’ve eaten thus far. Ironically, I think the restaurant’s owner is Japanese. Oh well.

The countdown was a crush. Throw in a handful of people who drank all the beer they could before going to the countdown venues (they had guards to prevent people from bringing alcohol in)…it was quite beery and leery. I saw some girls being harassed on the streets. Poor girls. Definitely not a good idea to dress up too much.
While waiting at the venues we had to lean/shove at people to maintain our positions. At one point this guy in front was asking us, “Are you ok? Because you looked like you’ve moved quite far away.” Ahahaha.

My pictures of the fireworks were crap.

Oh well. I had fun.
